Chirp at shutoff

I'm guessing this is a dealer only item.

This is very common on the auto equipped Cummins. I wouldn't worry about it.
The engine de-accelerates faster than the drive accessories.

Doesn't happen on the manual versions due to the heavy flywheel.

Not entirely true....my truck does it all the time...but it doesn't bother me. It is more common on the automatics though.

Hmmm, mine doesn't do it.
Does your truck have the gator belt?

Napa belt. Been on for 30,000 miles. Still looks and feels fine, no cracks or blemishes, but it'll squeak. Shakes hard at shutdown, too!

Maybe that's the reason.
Try going back to the gator belt.

Rip just for giggles, do you press in the clutch on shutdown?

i got a "stern" talking to by a customer of mine. She is a DTR member and she will probably chime in (very cool woman!), anyways, after installing a ravelco, i always show the customer that the vehicle won't run without the plug installed, I started her 06 mega (manual tranny) up and let oil psi and everything stabilize then pulled the plug. I did not have the clutch engaged and she was like "push in that clutch. less stress on it when it is shutting down". if she chimes in, she will tell ya but very knowledgable woman. So, from that point forward I have always stepped on the clutch when performin my demonstration.

I always keep the clutch pushed in when shutting down. Everything seems much smoother.

I use the clutch during shutdown. Prevents the shock transfering to the clutch disk and tranny.

after my sb 3600# dd install, my truck shuts down really smooth due to the 100% or so added flywheel weight
it used to chirp a bit but no more. id say it makes atleas 1 revolution more than b4 on shut down. ive noticed it idles much smoother also

My buddy bought the new part to fix it from the dealer for $125.00. If it works, I think I'm gonna get one. I don't really care for the noise, hard to sneak in at night .
