Chips
I have found two chips for sale used. A Edge EZ with 3 settings for $275.00 and a Dr. Performance Predetor series stage 1 for $250.00. Are either of these better than the other? Also, If I take it out, will the dealer be able to know that it was there? Both these chips are used. Any issues with going that route? I'm new to CTD and this is my first truck. It's a 3 year lease but I plan to purchase it when the time is up. Is it worth the risk?
Thanks.

I think the Dr. Performance might make more power, but out of the two I think Edge is the more popular box. Alot of people stack their EZ with a Timing, duration box for even more power, as the EZ is a pressure box.

Deadsled
I have ran both of those two modules (not at the same time) on my 2003. Of the two listed, I would go with the Edge Ez. I seemed to have better throttle response & a little better MPG with the Edge Ez.
However.....BOTH of these modules are pressure boxes meaning that over time they will tend to be hard on your injectors, especially if you run them in the higher settings. If the higher pressure doesn't concern you, then I'd say go for the Edge Ez. If you are concerned about the higher pressure, then you may want to consider other options for more HP.....
If dealers search long & hard enough, then yes they can tell "something" was on your truck. Also, don't forget to remove the velcro before taking it into the dealer for service work.....the velcro is a dead give a way....
