Chip or programmer recomends for 2001 auto

my friend is looking for a chip for his truck. bought a quad zxt and wasn't happy with it. not enough get up and go. I recommended a smarty utill he called bout them and they are just under 70 horse for the vp trucks. I didn't believe this until i called bout and yes this is legit he said thats all the pump will allow unless you tap the wire. so anyone have any other recommends? and what is this about tapping the pump wire whats it do and how do you do it? thanks jared

I have a quad adreniline on my 2000 dodge. it is one of the most aggresive chips you can get for a vp truck. It would be a lot for a completly stock truck to handle. I have a 5 speed and a south bend OFE and that holds up pretty well but you might have issues with a stock auto.

Ive never heard of having to tap the wires myself. By some random chance he might have ment adding an after market lift pump.. Which is a good idea anyway. I like my Juice w/attitude. I was tryin to decide between it and the bigger quadzilla. Both good products, but like below me said, They are more aggressive chips and other mods would be a very good idea befor you break stuff.

you may never heard of tapping the wire, but yet you have an edgeJ/A which is "a wire tapped' box!!

if he wants more power, he will have to get any of the wire tapping bxes out there..Quad or Edge are I think the most popular
