Does anyone know if a Chevy 14 bolt, FF will work in one of our 1st gens, or visa versa, d70 in a Chevrolet...Im doin some thinking. I am not concerned so much with leaf mounting pad location, moreso the driveshaft, and total width. Thanks

Yes they will fit I believe you have to move the pad's but my last truck worked Great had a corp 14rear and a dana 60 front with 410's and 39 in tall tires on a 85 crewcab

I have a 90 Chevy SRW crew cab w/ a 14FF, the spring pads are closer together vs a firstgen Dodge, the Chevy framerails are closer together. I think 87 and older 3/4 ton Chevys have different spring pad/framerail spacing, I think they're further apart, not to mention they put the 14FF in many different apps, probably a few different spring perch and overall widths. I know my Chevy has smaller u joints vs the Dodge too, different yokes for the 14FF are probably available. If I end up repowering my Chevy, I'm probably going to put a D70 in there, because I can't find 3.54 gears for a 14FF and the Dana Power Lok posi units are supposedly a lot better than Gov locks.
