checking bad injector, symptoms

Does anyone know how to check injectors without removing them. I am heard of a way to do it but not clear on how. Loosening something and listening for the idle to drop just not sure what to loosen. My truck runs smoothly but has no power anyone experienced these symptoms. See attached link for more info on my problems

loosen the bolt that hold the injector tube and wait for the engine to stumble.

I read something about feeling the exhaust runners as the engine warms up.. a bad injector will keep that cylinder form heating up with the rest.

would this work also?
