Cool truck, 32 on the hwy would be sweet

it would be cooler with a 4bt, however i can see why they went with Isuzu. seeing as how that Isuzu Diesel 4 cyl is used in the medium duty chevy NPR cab over trucks, there was probly less custom work in the swap. plus as stated in the description it can still be serviced at gm dealers.

Interesting project for sure, but it brings up a lot more questions than it answers for me...for example, why would you buy a brand-new truck and then re-power it (with a rebuilt engine no less...?). There will of course be no warrenty left, and whatever was done with the truck would be hard to trace exactly. Secondly, why are they selling it so soon? I know that things happen, but dosen't this seem a bit odd too? Third, in Illinois at least it's 1) illegal to install an older model-year engine into any veichle, and 2) it's going to recieve a "rebuilt" title once in state.
I guess my take is this - if it's an older, out of warrenty truck or for some sort of "special" job, go for it. If it's a standard, new veichle, better count the cost first. Sorry to sound pessimistic, it just dosen't make a lot of sense to me.

Upon closer reading it says something along the lines of "2600 test miles..." which could explain (how else would you explain) changing out the stock instrument panel with those "actual" (but cobbled-looking) gauge set. I would really want to know what sort of "testing" was being done with that rig first?!
Chumstone - I think something like a 3.9L 4-cyliinder would fit an older Chevy - it's likely even an S-10 could accommadate it unless it weighs too much. Now That would be a fuel-efficient truck!
