first time posting. very informative site!

i have an 05 auto . i had an alarm and auto start installed then it has a check light of p0234. a couple of days after this light came on, ive noticed very poor performance but still good mileage. the code says something about the boost solenoid so the alarm installer says its not his fault.
i was going to take it to the dealer but i dont want to have to pay if the alarm installer messed it up.
what do you guys think?

Did you check around the turbo to make sure all connections are tight? Sounds like he might have knocked something loose.

check the map sensor on the intake manifold plate on top of the engine [behind the hp fuel rail] and see if the connector is tight. p0234 is engine overboost [using generic code key]

Make sure he didn't tap into the boost sensor circuit to get power for your alarm. We had that happen once but it was the crank position sensor instead of the boost sensor.
