how to check if fuel heater is working

How do you check if the fuel heater is operating? What temp should it heat the fuel?

The best way would be to find someone with a dc clampmeter to check the ampload, otherwise you can check the ohm reading by unplugging the wire connector and making sure that you get a resistance reading, then check for voltage on the wiring harness supplying power to it. I think I read somewhere that it has to below 40 deg. for the fuel heater to turn on, but someone that knows a little more about these can correct me.

Fuel heater should operate when the fuel is between 45±8, and 75±8 (IIRC)..

Other than resistance or ammeter I am not sure. Maybe an IR gun on the inlet and outlet of the fuel canister when the fuel is known to be below 45*F
