how to check if fuel heater is working

The best way would be to find someone with a dc clampmeter to check the ampload, otherwise you can check the ohm reading by unplugging the wire connector and making sure that you get a resistance reading, then check for voltage on the wiring harness supplying power to it. I think I read somewhere that it has to below 40 deg. for the fuel heater to turn on, but someone that knows a little more about these can correct me.

Fuel heater should operate when the fuel is between 45±8, and 75±8 (IIRC)..
Other than resistance or ammeter I am not sure. Maybe an IR gun on the inlet and outlet of the fuel canister when the fuel is known to be below 45*F
