Well, it would have been nice to have more of a meet this last time, but at least some of us got to test drive the other trucks.
I'm open for suggestions for when and where for December guys.

I'm going home for the holidays after finals so the first couple of weeks would work for me. When that lady cop made us leave it gave us a good excuse to leave a nice bit of "cloud cover" on the way out. hahaha..

So was that the last one for the year? We gonna have some sort of big deal to kick off the new year?? Maybe something in Kennedale with the North Texas chapter??

Duallydog
11-20-2007, 09:39 AM
I'm talking with them about one for the new year, but this is for one more this year.

Jordan5687
11-20-2007, 07:14 PM

Your nuts but not for thinking that....sounds good to me...

I think your nuts for ASKING if we would need one haha. BBQ would be nice.

Sorry I haven't been around guys, I'll try to make the next meet for sure.
Hopefully getting a new clutch soon..Mine is extremely bad...Slipping in 4 and 5 on levels 4 and 5 on the juice, and in fifth on level 3. Maybe I'll get one for Christmas.

11-24-2007, 05:53 PM
Ok guys, I've totally turned around the whole truck thing. I'm still gonna get a personal one and keep what I have, get injectors, twins, and possibly stack a bullydog with the edge....I can do that can't I? Also when I do that I might be getting rid of the 6" exhaust....probably here pretty soon actually. Anyone interested in it, or maybe parts of it?? I have the downpipe, about 5-6' of 6" pipe, then the whole tail pipe, and muffler. Hasn't been welded on at all, have everything for it. It was installed in April. Also, if the bullydog won't stack well or can't with the edge I'm going to be selling the edge. So if there's any takers out there let me know. I have to get the bullydog first before taking off the edge. Thanks guys!

rbrettctd
11-24-2007, 07:13 PM
So hows that tranny gonna hold up to injectors and twins?

tweeder_51
11-24-2007, 08:15 PM
Jordan, Im about to order a 5" exhaust, but if the price is right on yours I might do that instead.

Jordan5687
11-25-2007, 05:07 PM
Well tell me what you'd offer. How soon do you need the exhaust?? I won't be back in town till the 10th. I'd need to get a new downpipe for mine first though, unless you don't need that part, I can give you everything past the 4" to 6" reducer. Let me know. I wasn't too sure, how much is the 5" you're ordering??? I'll be back on later tonight. I need to try and get enough out of it so I can get a single stack for now. It isn't too much cause most of it I can do myself.

Randy, supposedly with the twins it's supposed to hold the load just fine. I've talked to my mechanic and it wouldn't have happened if that cooler wasn't on, if it was off, my trany would be fine. He's putting in another new triple disc billet torque converter, and other things we didn't do last time. But I've talked to some that have the twins and they all say it's better than a 6 speed as far as holding the gears and he recomended getting a trany lock, it's impossible to slip with one on it. My sister has one on hers and that's why it pulls so freakin hard and great, at times even better than mine and her truck's stock pretty much! So that's the news so far lol.

tweeder_51
11-25-2007, 05:20 PM
I'm not in a real big hurry, but preferably before Christmas. The one I'm looking at getting is $250 + $65 for shipping.

Jordan5687
11-25-2007, 05:37 PM
Dang, I don't think I can do that good lol. I might be able to do somewhere around $400......probably no more than that actually. Maybe $350, if you can take it from the reducer, I'll cut it so you can get a 3" to 4" from airflo.com, it's only $13 just looked it up. If you need that 4" downpipe then I'd need about $450 for the whole thing. But honestly, I think you'll want to keep that 3" in there and then at the transfer case put on both the increasers for the 6" It needs a little restriction at first so it spools better cause it opens so wide lol lol. Well let me know cause I can have it off my truck pretty much as soon as I get back! But yeah, like I said I can do around $400. I can pretty much re-do my system for that amount.

tweeder_51
11-25-2007, 07:32 PM
Thanks but I think I will just go with the 5". Paying for school and all my bills dosnt leave me with a lot of $ left over and with Christmas on the way I need to watch my spending.

Jordan5687
11-25-2007, 10:13 PM
Awww shoot, can't do $45 more lol, for a big one ;) Not seen a whole lot lol! $350??? If not that's fine, I'll try to find someone else.

tweeder_51
11-25-2007, 10:45 PM
give me a couple days to think on it and I'll get back to ya, in the meentime if you find a buyer you dont have to wait on me.

Jordan5687
11-25-2007, 10:47 PM
Yeah, that's fine. I won't wait on you, but I probably won't be able to do anything till I get back anyway lol.

Anyone know how the e-bay deal works??? Like if I post something and I don't get how much I'd like for it, could I cancel it???

rbrettctd
11-25-2007, 10:51 PM
You can set a reserve, that would be the minimum you will take for it. You cant just cancel a bid cause its going for too low though. You can also set a buy-it-now price for someone to pay just that much for it and win it immediately.

Jordan5687
11-25-2007, 11:15 PM
Well that's cool, I've got some stuff that I'm gonna post up there when I get back. What about time limit on it like how long it's on there. Is there a lot to choose from???

cbtumedic
11-26-2007, 06:10 AM
You can't set buy it now until you have a certain rating or number of auctions under your belt though. Just FYI.

Duallydog
11-26-2007, 09:18 AM
IIRC 3, 5, 7, 10 (days) then it goes to weeks I think. I only used 5 or 7 days.

Jordan5687
11-28-2007, 10:56 AM

Duallydog
11-28-2007, 11:09 AM
Dec 14 for those that don't have to take finals.

Jordan5687
11-28-2007, 05:46 PM

Duallydog
12-01-2007, 01:49 PM
Any chance we could have it at your house? We were asked to not meet at the mall parking lot.

Jordan5687
12-02-2007, 11:23 PM
Really, why the heck can we not meet at the mall parking lot? lol. I'll be there, won't have my new exhaust done yet. I ordered the most important part lastnight and it said shipping was about 3-5 weeks!!! But maybe it'll change lol.

rbrettctd
12-02-2007, 11:44 PM
Coppers ran us off at the last one.

rbrettctd
12-02-2007, 11:55 PM
What exhaust you doing Jordan?

I ordered all the tubing for my intercooler today, as the 7.3cooler came on friday. Im trying to decide if I want turnout or mitre cut stacks on my truck...any advice?

Duallydog
12-03-2007, 09:48 AM
Hey Randy, is that tip you've been trying to get rid of a clamp on? I'm thinking about doing something but I need to mock it up and see what it sounds like. (And do you have access to a way to cut 3" pipe?

I think you should go with the mitres because they will look the best with a headache rack. I think that turnouts might look goofy. Are you still planning on upgrading to a different turbo? If the offer still stands I'll take the hx-35 off your hands.

I don't know some 6" or 7" bull haulers would look pretty sweet if you mounted them right

Duallydog
12-03-2007, 07:56 PM
Yeah, but miters look right on that truck. Or you could do just 90* turn outs about window level and smoke everyone out. LOL

rbrettctd
12-03-2007, 09:56 PM
NO BULLHAULERS!!! Def not a fan here.

Nah Im not gonna do anything performance wise after I intercool it and bottom the fuel screw out.

Tip is weld on, really nice one too. 4"in 6" out.

I thought you had 4" at the back???

tweeder_51
12-04-2007, 12:05 AM
HAHA, didn't think you would go for that. Black mitres would look really good.

Hey guys!

I have an Edge Juice w/Attitude for sale $600
I've got a black pillar mount for it as well $50
I've also got a few other things, black diamond plate tool box for the bed of the truck,(not the kind that sit up on the side of the bed) a chrome 5" turn down tip, I think it's like 16-18" long, maybe some other stuff. I'll bring it to the meet if anyone's interested or knows anyone that wants it lol. I'd like to get rid of what I can so I don't have to go through e-bay.

Justin, I didn't get the truck back on Friday to take off the exhaust for ya, due to a bad PCM. Make sure you get that adapter. So I will have the exhaust to you the night of the meet - - Matt...if you want a wrenching project, Justin(tweeder 51) is taking my 6" exhaust, we could put that on if he'll be there!!???

Later guys! Thanks for lettin me post my stuff up lol lol

Still on for this Friday??? Where at??

Duallydog
12-10-2007, 08:37 PM
Randy, do you have any good ideas for a place to meet if I can't get Jason involved?

rbrettctd
12-10-2007, 10:19 PM
How bout either the lot across from HEB or the Tarleton parking lot, as long as we dont rack our engines.

Jordan5687
12-11-2007, 10:16 AM
We might install a 6" exhaust on Justin's truck (tweeder 51)

I'm a proud owner of a SINGLE STACK guys!!!! Put it on last night, see yall on Fri.! What time!?

My trucks' in the Dodge house right now getting the PCM flashed or replaced, then it's good to go!

Randy....have a question for you. I'm going to be ordering some gauges cause I sold the edge. I'm going to have a total of 5, I was wondering if I need another aux. fuse box for them or something, or if I just wire them all together then pull one line to the Illumination fuse in the truck so they light up??? How did you do all your gauges?? I don't have them yet, I'll be ordering them in a few weeks or so. Just wondering lol.

rbrettctd
12-11-2007, 11:27 AM
Id run another fuse box to be safe. Oreillys has a 6fuse block for $12, thats what Im running.

Jordan5687
12-11-2007, 11:44 AM
Alright cool. Did it have some sort of instructions on how to set it all up with what goes in and what goes out of it???

I just ordered my new chip for the truck, just saved like $232 on it!!! Goes towards the gauges! I'm gonna get the ISSPRO gauges, but they don't have a fuel gauge that matches the ones I want, so I have to figure that one out. Also, when you bought your gauges they came with everything right??? I'm finding some that are like$100 cheaper than others but don't say if everything is or isn't included.

cbtumedic
12-11-2007, 11:55 AM
What chip did you get Jordan? As for the aux fuse block, you just need a fused 12v input, on randy's i did it with a relay so that it would have key on power without drawing too much on the ignition switch, then you run the illumination wiring to the guages. Wish i could make it to the meeting, but with my new schedule at work it's pretty much impossible for me to get out that way now.

Jordan5687
12-11-2007, 12:21 PM
I got the Bully Dog Torque Dog, it's supposed to work super well with the Dodge electronics, and blend real well and everything. My mechanic and some other guys said they were surprised how much better than others it did. The highest power is like 90hp and 200#tq but supposedly it's stronger and you can tell more than the Edge Juice with 350#tq. It's more usable or something. Anyway, I decided I needed to listen to my mech. from now on lol, it's an expensive lesson. Ok, well when I get the gauges and the fuse block, if it's close to when we have another meet, I might just wait, or I'll do it myself. Oh and Randy, I'll have the right wires plugged in this time! lol

Duallydog
12-11-2007, 02:05 PM
The problem with meeting at Tarleton is we will be eyed pretty heavily, the police will think that we might be celebrating the end of finals. So I guess the lot across from HEB, maybe on the Movie Gallery side this time (leave the other side for the gassers) Or meet in HEB?

rbrettctd
12-11-2007, 04:46 PM
I dont know...well think of something....my mind is fried right now...dang government final

Jordan5687
12-11-2007, 04:59 PM
Ok, what time?? 6 or 7? I'll be there, I might be just a little bit late though.

Jordan5687
12-11-2007, 05:28 PM
Hey guys, quick question.....I'm lookin on e-bay right now at a great deal on an instrument panel for my truck. The trip on it has about 40,000 the guy said, I'm wondering when I replace mine with it, will I somehow be able to keep the true miles on my truck on that one or is that just how it's gonna have to be? And are the connections for that panel easy or a real pain to take on and off???? Thanks!!!

Jordan5687
12-11-2007, 05:30 PM
oh lol lol, also, my gear selector on my panel is horizontal, the one on the panel I'm looking at is vertical, will that make any difference to anything or is it like a total no go??

rbrettctd
12-11-2007, 06:02 PM
The mileage wont work, not sure bout the gear indicator. WHats wrong with yours?

Jordan5687
12-11-2007, 06:40 PM
Nothing's wrong with it but I can find one that has the same display as the gauges that I'm gonna get, so they'll all match lol lol. But I actually found just a gauge face that I can put right over what I've got. You have any idea how many lights are behind there?? They recomend getting some LED bulbs for them, but they're $30/ bulb, there's no way I'm doing that if there's more than 3! lol lol. I'll just look for other bright bulbs or so lol.

What time Friday!?

Duallydog
12-11-2007, 08:01 PM
If it's up and down it sounds like a 94-97 panel. Mileage defenitally wouldn't work then ( analog vs. digital)
And 7 o'clock.

Jordan5687
12-11-2007, 08:24 PM
Awesome.

I hear we've got chances of snow on Friday night and I think Saturday also. I might not stay that late cause I have an hour and a half drive back lol.

cbtumedic
12-11-2007, 09:28 PM
No Snow, please no snow, i've gotta work saturday and people are stupid when it snows, i'll be working tons of wrecks.

EatMySmoke
12-12-2007, 12:26 AM
7 o'clock is good. Where are we going to meet this time?

rbrettctd
12-12-2007, 12:31 AM
How bout we meet at pigglywiggly? I just thought of that. Good sized parking lot and kinda lowpro. If we dont have a huge turnout we can always roll on over to my house if my roommates are gone.

Jordan5687
12-12-2007, 12:12 PM
Where's pigglywiggly?? lol

rbrettctd
12-12-2007, 12:42 PM
On lingleville. When you come in on 377, take 281 north. Take it to the first actual stop light and turn left onto highway 8 (Lingleville hwy) Then just take that all the way down til youre leaving town and pigglywiggly will be on your right next to the bowling alley.

Duallydog
12-12-2007, 01:22 PM
I'm thinking someplace that we can meet inside would be nice. I guess we could go to our usual stomping ground, and go right to the heart of the police, Whataburger.
Here's a thought, would there be anyone around to complain about noise and loitering if we had it at the Equine Center?

rbrettctd
12-12-2007, 02:15 PM
The equine center? Thats gated, if youre talking bout the one on 205.

Jordan5687
12-12-2007, 06:54 PM

Hey man I found a 4 gauge pillar...want me to send you a link?

Jordan5687
12-13-2007, 09:35 AM
sure man! I'd appreciate that! Only if you found a buyer for the Edge?? lol lol jk. Let me know on it though. Thanks!

Duallydog
12-13-2007, 11:39 AM
Hmm, Hard 8 does sound good, but it's hard for me to eat there for less than $14, there are cheaper ways to eat there, but thats the way I roll. [laugh] I don't know if we'd want to stay long enough to install an exhuast, but it would be a good place to start.
Hard 8 7pm tomorrow?
Randy if everyone agrees on that today text me, I won't be on here again until this time tomorrow.

Jordan5687
12-13-2007, 11:51 AM
I'll agree on it! It'll be a good way to gather for the end of the year I think! I'll need to know where it is though lol, I think I've seen it before but can't really remember lol lol. See ya'll there!

Matt....no worries, I usually roll the same way!

Duallydog
12-13-2007, 12:12 PM

12-13-2007, 07:18 PM
Hey Matt. I need to know if there's anything from Quadzilla that plugs into the diagnostic port under the dash of my truck??? I just bought a Bully Dog Torque Dog, but wanted to run a stack with it and plug it into that. Let me know. I wanted to do something a little less than a Smarty(as far as cost) I'll look into it a little more too. Thanks!

xOmertAx
12-13-2007, 10:22 PM

12-13-2007, 11:37 PM

xOmertAx
12-14-2007, 11:44 AM
No, the guy said he's about to get a new truck and the juice won't work on it. He would have bought it if he would have kept the truck.

Duallydog
12-14-2007, 12:01 PM
The only downloader Quad makes is for the Duramax, find you a Smarty for a downloader then you might not even want the Torque Dog. LOL
See ya'll tonight at Hard 8

12-14-2007, 12:45 PM
The Hard 8? Right...so...those of us who are broke get to sit outside and smoke?

Jordan5687
12-14-2007, 01:42 PM
Ok, thanks Matt. Yeah, I was going to look into the Smarty also, I want to find a stack for it instead of doing the injectors on it. what's the Smarty's max advertised hp??

I thought you gave that up man! Yeah, well I don't have my truck back still worst case is I'll have to use my sisters. I'll still be bringing the exhaust for Justin though. If I use her truck I'll be about a half an hour to an hour late, but will be there.....unless weather turns reals bad. I'll call you Matt, when I'm headed that way and let ya know what's up! See ya'll then!

Hey Randy....when you're looking into setting up twins in your truck using the turbo you've got. Let me know like some prices and stuff and where you're looking at getting some of your stuff for it. I might see about using my stock in a setup. Cause like I said $3600 isn't going to cut it for me lol. Not sure if I'd need to rebuild mine or what, they have different repair or parts kits for them depending on what you're gonna do. I haven't looked into it a whole lot, just from what I've heard on here. Not sure how easy or hard it is lol.

Hey Colton....I've still got that pillar mount if you'd like. Also, if and when you get stacks....got to just stick with a single...it's freakin awesome!! I love mine! You'll have to see it at the next meet! Personally I like it better than two stacks. 6" also lol ;)

Im not sure if youll be able to do twins with your stocker...you may have to find an hx35, cause if Im not mistaken, you have the hy35 with 9cm housing, which would not be efficient with twins IMO.

the install went alright...we had several little glitches along the way but we finally jury rigged it together and got it on....sounds AWESOME!

Yeah, I was just lookin at some turbos online right now. I can make up to 500hp with some of them then there's others that'll go to 425, I think twins might be a little overkill. Also, if I need to cool it down more I can just get a water/meth inj. for it.....with a single turbo....cheaper than I could for twins! lol

What went on with the install??? Glad it sounds good...did he like it?
