Changing mirror heads..... Help
I have a cracked mirror on the right-hand side of the truck.
It’s a 02 3500 with the early (non electric) towing mirrors. I also have a 03 mirror (also non electric) that the mounting triangle is to big to use on my 02.
I know that everything else is the same. How do I change only the mirror head or the mirror head and arm?
If someone could show some pictures it would help a lot.
Thanks

I think there is an access panel below the pivot point (to fold them in, not up and out) pull the access panel and there will be a nut. Loosen that and the rest should be self explanatory.
(I have not done this myself, only had it explained to me by a buddy)

Well I looked around and found a tread on changing 03 mirrors over to fit an 02 .
Worked pretty well the biggest pain was compressing the spring, tying it off with wire and getting it to fit in place, other than that not a bad or hard job.
By the way if anyone in the DFW area needs mirrors try Cert-I-fit in Arlington TX.
Aftermarket 03 towing mirror (non power) $81.00
