I was doin some cleaning under the hood today and I notice that I have anti freeze seaping from one of my freeze plugs . I know they can be changed out, but since I have never done one, I dont know how . Can anyone give me some pointers on how to do this? Ive had too many dad-gum coolant related problems this year (cracked head) and I dont want to let this one go any further . Any advice will be appreciated.

I just poke a hole in the plug with a punch and pry it out. Clean the hole in the block with a wire brush and pound the new one in with an appropriate sized wood dowel or pvc pipe.
Sounds easy ehh? But it can be a bear depending on the location of the freeze plug. The 24 valves have one that leaks and requires removing the head to get at it.

Cool, sounds simple enough . Luckily my culprate is right between the turbo and the block. Shouldnt even require removing the turbo but we'll see how it goes.
