Center seat.

Mine is stuck in the up position. It will pivot an inch or so, before it hits the stop. Has anybody run into this? Any known remedies before I go in there, break parts, lose screws/bolts and generally screw it up? ( as Ron White said, "...and I will. I know. I've seen me do it")

Both of mine pull that stunt every so often, I just keep wiggling it until it releases, almost feels like there is a detent that has to release.

Mine hasn't stuck up long enough to worry about it.

Post the solution if you find one.

I found I had to push in at the pivot point. Almost like it locks in the up position

I tried it, and it worked! And, I agree, it's not nearly enough trouble (yet) for me to go inside and try to properly fix.
I'm going to go wiggle the heater core next.

Trust me, that procedure done on the heater core does not have a good success rate.

Glad it worked for ya.

Me too. Next is the heater core.
Then I'll try to read up on the best way to stop the wandering. It looks like there are volumes here on that subject. I wonder why Dodge went backward on the steering from the 1st gen trucks.
2WD and 4X4 alike. I have a buddy with a '92 4X4 CTD. My 2WD and his both have good steering. My brother's 2WD 3500 (V-10) has gone through steering issues too.
Oh well, I really like the rest of the truck.
