Center console sub box ?

Does anyone know how to get ahold of the guy who makes what I think is called the "Hotbox"? He used to sell them on ebay but I can't seem to find any currents auctions & can't find any contact info. TIA

Not sure on the ebay guy but JL Audio offers a complete center console replacement. IIRC its pretty expensive but does come complete with a 13" sub.

I have a Hot Box and love it. Great value and quality for sure. I run a 10" in mine (he'll set it up for a 10 or 12 - you just have to specify) which is plenty since I don't listen to much boom-boom music.

I couldn't find any items listed by him currently but here is his ebay contact:

Judging by the feedback, he is still active so it would be worth sending him a message for a box order.

Thanks for the info. I PM'ed him on ebay. Maybe you can answer a few ?'s for me. What size MDF does he use, is there any bracing in the box & does it come w/a vinyl or cloth top/sides on the Hotbox? Thanks CTD!

Mine was a little custom, because he built it to house a JL Audio 12W6. I think mine's 3/4" MDF covered in carpet on the sides with vinyl on top. I don't remember about the bracing, but I've been thumping mine for a couple years and it's holding up fine!

I will be using 1 Crossfire 10 BMF. Wicked sub, so I was concerned about blowing the box apart. Due to traveling w/dog & daughter in the back to go camping all the time, I have to go w/a center console box. Thanks for the info.

Hot Box seems to do a pretty good job of matching the OEM interior upholstry materials and colours. Mine was all cloth (what I spec'd) and made from 3/4" MDF. All bolt attachements have steel threaded inserts. I don't recall what bracing was used but mine has been pounding away in a sealed configuration with a 10" Cerwin Vega Vmax for almost 2 years with zero issues. Come to think of it, I don't think I recall hearing about anyone having any structural issues with a Dodge Hot Box.

Yea the hotboxes are great. Color matches perfectly. Easy to deal with.

The only thing i noticed was where my flip up mounts. I need something to cover the steel mounts. What did everyone else do?

Why not make a box in the back? There not that difficult. One that fits under the seats or in the back of them.

I have to keep the fold down trays & there is absolutely NO room behind the seat.

Ok well i can honestly say this is the first time i have ever heard of the these 'hotboxes' subs in the center console thats really nothing new but they dont really tend to give you the best performance. Whats the biggest sub you can fit in these boxes? Which way are they aimed? As in which way does the sub fire?
