Personally I like the Cobra 29 WX NW ST since it has all the features that I want. The biggest thing for me is the NightWatch to dim the display and night, I like driving with as little light in the cab a possible.

you can't go wrong with a cobra or a uniden. You could step up alittle with a Galaxzy 929 strait 40 no side better power ability and the modulation is much cleaner. Galaxzy has better parts inside the cobras. The Unidens are also are more rugged then Cobras as well. Just my 10 years of 2 cents. Sparkyscbshack.com is how I deal with great guys.

Cobra for the price cannot be beat. if you want to spend more go with a galaxy99....... but get your wallet out and good luck finding a REAL one. You'll have to listen up at truck stops to find one 4 sale.

has anyone ever had the cobra 75wx-st.... the one that mounts out of site and all the controls are on the mic. I think it would solve a lot of mounting issues as long as it is a quality cb. I like to have my girl ride in the middle next to me so i like the space for her feet in front of the middle seat, since i have a newer truck with the fold down cup holders and stuff.

Cool, youre the first person ive known of to have it. Glad ya like it, thatll probably seal the deal for me as long as i can fit it under my seat. If ya get a chance, since you know how big the control box is, would ya look and see if you think it would fit underneath our drivers seat?

Well, there is no control box, you said it yourself. Everything is built into the cb handheld itself. Just the handheld peice with your regular cb wires that goes to the fuse box.

yeah i know there isnt a "control box" i guess i worded it wrong. I thought there was still some kind of a little box you had to mount somewhere? and can you mount just any antenna to it just like a full sized one?
