Ive got two Wilsons mounted in the same location as Kevellis.
The cab does create a shadow on both antennas. However, I have not had any issues with this.
Mounted in parallel, I understand that it creates a range that is focused forward and back (as opposed to side by side range) and the cab can decrease forward range thus hurting the effectiveness of the antennas.
If you mount them in the bed, behind the cab, be sure to go with a top loaded setup.

Some good info HERE.
If you really want a good set up, be sure and do some research. There's a fair amount of info on the net about different mounting solutions and the pro's and cons.

I have my single in the same place as above. Cheapo 4' firestik and it works well for what I use it for. Used one of the fender mounts to attach it to the bedrail. Didnt like the look with it upfront. And suprisingly that close to the cab SWR is below 1.5 on all channels.

Firestik Dodge Ram hood mounts for mine.
Uses existing bolts, just remove bolt, put the mount on, replace bolt.

For some reason, the bolt closer to the windshield wouldn't work on mine,
the bolt was too far from the edge so the hood wouldn't close.

Used these brackets on each side of my crossover tool box:

One is for the CB, the other for the scanner.

Does anyone make a mount that clamps to the bed rail. I don't want to drill any holes in my truck.

thanks for all the replys you guys!
all of the pics look great! i like the ones that are behind the cab. i like the mount that connects to the bedrail and puts it out a bit. that way i can still put a crossover box or a canopy on and not have to take off the antennas.
i'll look into them more. i think i can make them pretty easy. i like the mounts on the rack too!! maybe i'll upgrade to that later.
