Not mine but have run into others that have plugged.
Symptoms are low power, high boost and egts.
You can buy a test pipe for 12 valves from Dodge to check the cat and if you're smart just leave it in. Part number 52019170AB

I can't see making boost with the convertor stopped up. The lack of exhaust flow would seemingly kill boost.

Boost is a measurement of restriction.

the truck is new to me and I havnt had a 12v in a while, I have been driving a slightly modified 24v and going to the 12v stock it feels like a turd, why do u recommend leaving the cat on the truck?

I meant leaving the test pipe on the truck.
Better yet ditch the entire stock exhaust system and replace it with at least a 4" from the turbo back, no cat, either a free flowing or no muffler.
Stock 12 valves are dogs compared to the newer ones but more power ranges from free to cheap.

24 valves have a resonator in place of the 12 valve's cat.
It's a little smaller in diameter and my understanding is it's not restrictive.

just out of curiosity how long is the test pipe? does it just bolt in or does it have to be welded in? Where are u located?
