Remember, discussing the removal of emissions equipment isn't allowed on this site. I realize that your only asking if a check engine light comes on, but if it turns down the wrong path it's getting locked.

I hate to go off topic, but....

Why is that? So you can't ask about a turbo back exhaust system then? How about if the persons vehicle was an off-road vehicle only now? Don't programmers change the emissions on a vehicle? How about injectors? Cams? Higher boost levels that create more NO2?

For off-road vehicles or test purposes, if you take the cat off, it will not set any codes or CEL.

No your light will NOT come on. Yes, since you are using your vehicle only for OFF road purposes, you can discuss it.

Well, since your truck is an "Off-Road" vehicle.... yes, you can pull it off with no problems. It's won't cause the engine light to come on.

Just remember... when you are done driving off road, reinstall it.

Guess i have to cover myself.
