cat full then dpf full twice what is wrong with this thing

Three weeks ago it was really cold out -25c to -30c for a week and a half. Got my first catylist full message. Went to dealer, they performed desoot procedure!(friday). Got truck back the next day I get dpf full. Drive the weekend bring it in on Monday. Dealer order new dpf get it install on Friday. On way home from dealer get message saying "immediated service required see dealer now". Next day with new filter in get dpf 90%full. How can this fill up in 100km of driving. The truck has 60 000km on it already and had a million trip to dealer for stupid codes. Truck is stock 6.7 manual with edge insight. Could the programer be messed up causing the problem. Taking truck back in tomorrow again might try to get this thing bought back. I would like to keep it because when it work it is a great truck.

My guess would be the cold weather is having a lot to do with it. The regen cycles don' t like the -30 range. My mileage went down to 10 mpg with the last cold snap. I also got cat messages on my overhead. They went away after a long hard drive. I plan to get rid of the mess when the weather warms.

I would like to remove it too but I should have to go through this crap. I tried going for a long drive on highway just made it get full faster. I am gonna order my exhaust soon or I might try to get rid of the truck.

You will have to remove the exhaust, (Turbo back) and remove the EGR cross over pipe. There is a lot of good info on this back a few months ago on this site.
My 3500 is running great now, average 20MPG.

The EGR is what is coking you up.. The EGR is trying to keep the intake air warm and filling your engine with soot. Make sure you have the latest flash to the ECM and pull the cord on the EGR!!!

Wow, what is this soot doing to the engine and the oil?

Ask anyone who has done the EGR delete and you will see what I mean. If you do the DPF delete only, if you watch the truck idle, soot is just hazing out of the tailpipe. Its ugly. That is the reason for the oil grade change in the new trucks, soot retention.
