cat back w/o a muffler?
I know it might just be easier to go to the local exhaust shop and get a 4 inch pipe run, but does anyone sell an exhaust system that is just a straight pipe? Where would I find one? Is it easier to just buy a system and just not use the muffler? Thanks.

OOPS,
That's a great deal. All the local shops where I am want at least $500 to run a system for me.
Forrest Nearing,
My truck is straight piped already (cut the muffler out the first day I had it!), but I thought that the 03 models had a 3.5 inch pipe before the muffler and 4 inch after?

We have the parts you need to make the cat back straight pipe system. You will need to rotate the cat 180 degrees and use a transition pipe with off-set to go from your 3.5" pipe to the 4". Look at the line drawing for the Aeroturbine on this page and just delete the Aeroturbine from the picture. http://www.dieselpowerproducts.com/exhaust2 You will be reusing your tail pipe as it is 4" and just replacing the pipe in the middle of the system. The hardest part about doing this is grinding off the lug on the down pipe to cat connection and rotating the cat. Give us a call and we can put a kit together for you.

car_nut57,
I guess I should have specified that my truck does not have a catalytic converter. I should have said a turbo back system. I'm a big Mustang person...just used to refering to an exhaust system as a cat-back. Thanks.

Of course, the easiest and cheapest thing for you to do is just cut your muffler out and get the MEP pipe from Geno's.
EDIT: I just noticed you have an '03 like me. If I had to do mine over again I'd order a 4" Banks downpipe and an 8 foot section of 4" straight pipe and re-use the stock tail pipe. That would give you about the best flow you're gonna get with a 4" system and it would be a LOT cheaper than buying a complete system.

whatever you do, don't buy an 89-93, or 98-03 Cummins, no cats on them... I'm surprised your kids are still alive!
