cat 2 micron filter gasket?

cat 2 micron filter gasket?
ok guys i got a filter base from a buddy and a 2 micron filter set up that he had laying around. the filter base had a gasket or rubber seal on the threads, does the 1r750 filter need one of these or is it not needed. the filter screws right up flush with the base. any info would be great.

No it does not. That o-ring on the threads is from a different filter. My Baldwin BF1212 uses one.

The Cat 1R-0750 is like an oil filter. All it needs to seal up properly is that one O-ring located on the filter itself.
