I have seen the magnetic key holders that mount on the frame or wherever you want but do not care to go with that style.

What have you used or seen that works well to mount it? I was thinking of using a zip tie now the question is where should I put it.....................

I have a spare key tied up on the frame of my OL's truck, right by the fuel filter. On my truck, I drilled an eye-bolt to a part of the body, and then put the key on a snap ring.

I just keep an extra one in my wallet...it comes in handy when i stop to get a snack on the interstate so i can keep the engine running with the doors locked

I have my FOB off of my key ring, I just carry that around.

Wire it to your frame, that seems to work.

I have the Grey chip keys.. Hidden is a magnetic key box that has a non chipped key so I can get in the door but if someone finds it they can't start the truck.. For long trips I take an extra chipped key just in case the one I have fails..

I keep a seperate keyring in my pocket with my post office keys and house keys etc on it. I keep an extra truck key on it. I carry them with me all the time.

I've got one on a quick disconnect on my key ring. When I go in somewhere and leave the truck running I pull it off and lock the truck. It's a pain to lock the truck with keys in the ignition so I don't forget.
