Carrier bearing and lifts?
Anyone put a 3 inch add a leaf on there truck? Did you have to shim your carrier bearing down or didnt mess with it? Im in the middle of doin the leafs and was just curious before i forget about it and toast the carrier bearing, because its a pain takin the drive shaft loops and sheild off, so if it needs it all do it now beofr it gives out.

I had to shim mine down about 1.5". I got the skyjacker 5" lift with full leaf packs though. You should still have to shim it down a little bit with a 3" aal.

I put a 1/2" shim on it tonight so well see how it feels. I got about 4 inches of lift from it tho. Empty my hitch was 22 inches give or take a little, now its 25.75 with about 1000lbs of junk and parts in the bed. Im hoping its not gonna be over 26 when i empty it and hang 800 to 1k out front.
