Cant keep the filter on....

Anyone ever have trouble keeping their air filter on the intake hose? We've opened my hood several times to find that the air filter has come off of the intake hose. I guess it gets blown off if i ever bark the turbo pretty hard. I try not to bark it too much but with an auto sometimes its kind of hard not to. We usually tighten the clamp up as good as we can and one time i even took some heavy duty glue and put it around the intake hose before i put the filter on. It came off again in no time. Anyone else have trouble with this?

Its a K&N cone filter. We fixed the problem today though. Put a piece of 4inch PVC pipe inside the intake tube and the filter, that way the clamps have something a lot more solid to clamp to. So far so good

I think it's a "sign" from your truck to dump K&N and get a decent filter

I had that problem with my WIX BHAF. To solve this, I drilled 2 small holes to install 2 self tapping screws through the hose clamp/hose/filter neck. Get all of the chips out, re-install and it'll never come off again.
