When I first installed my Edge a year or so ago, I got this code but I erased it with my code scanner and it never came back. After my recent rebuild, I've got the code again and when I erase it, it immediately pops up again. Could the sensor really be bad? It was perfectly clean when I reassemble the engine.

Yes, it could very well be bad.
Just because it's clean doesn't mean it's working right.

If the code is popping right up... I would say the sensor is bad.

But double check that you haven't crushed any wires... I know you just got done rebuilding the engine...

Ok... just in case anybody was wondering... If you don't connect the IAT sensor you will get an 0113 code and it will immediately pop up again when you try to erase it.

I came across a loose connector yesterday so I posted a pic in my thread "Where does this go?"... "It's the IAT" they said... and I thought, "No, couldn't be!" but sure enough, it was, and I'm an idiot.

Is it possible to spend too much time working on your truck? I think I'm losing my mind...
