I cant seem to be able to stay cool,even with an empty truck (no trailer) on a level grade if I hit the skinny peddel and keep it wot to 75 mph,my egts would hit 1400 in no time,forcing me to let off.

All I have for mods on a '07 5.9 is the stage 2 afe and an aero turbine muffler and a dr performance 2017 85hp towing module.my pyro is in the manifold pre-turbo,and I'm at about 38 psi boost.any ideas?thanx

Any guages? Obviously you have an EGT guage .What is your boost running? You may have an intercooler leak, or intercooler boot.

I have the same truck 07 5.9 auto 4x4. Tried the Quad ZXT with the Recon gauge set. WOT quickly got to 1400 degrees and boost around 37 or so. Same as above. Quad cold air intake is the only other mod. No exaust mods yet. EGT's aren't much different with the ZXT off so.....Charastics of this engine combo?????

sounds like the timing on these trucks is either retarded further or that the last injection event is a big one....The only way to get cooler EGT's are 62/12 or 13 / 71 turbo, F1 injectors, aftermarket intercooler, timing module (TST) or Smarty with lots of added timing. At 37psi your turbo is getting to the top of its map so it is starting to add heat. ks

I would get the turbo. You dont have to refill it all the time, and you can benefit from it constantly. If you go the water meth route i woulnt mix more then 20% meth, in fact i would go straight water.
