Can someone please explain this ????

I keep reading all these post about moving the plate forward or backwards for more or less fuel. Could someone please explain this plate they are refering to and exactly what role it plays in the grand scheme of things.

Please bare with me here as I am still in the learning curve mode and probably will be for a while.

calls,

The plate refered to in the forums here is only found on the 12valve engine, and therefore of no interest to those of us who own properly valved engines.

Seriously, it's a cam plate that affects the injection pump/fueling on the 12 valve engines. The CTD's prior to 98.5 are mechanically controlled engines, not like our computer controlled 24 valvers. We get the same effect using "boxes," that is small computer add-ons like th Edge EZ that enhances fueling and boost pressures.
