Question Can I run 37's on a 5" lift with 5" backspacing?

I'm currently running 325/65/18 Nitto Terra Grapplers mounted on Black 18x9 XD Series Rockstars with 5" of backspacing. I've got a 5" lift on the truck as well. I seem to have a good bit of room and wanted to know if I could run a 37x12.50 BFG M/T or Pro-Comp XMT on these wheels with no rubbing. I know the BFG's are only like 36.6" tall so they are not a true 37. I really like the Toyo M/T's, but at a true 37" tall and nearly 14" wide I'm sure I would encounter some rubbing. I want to steer clear of any rubbing if possible and I really don't want to go any higher on the lift. If I have to run a 35" tire again I'll most likely end up with a Toyo M/T. Can anyone shed some light on this?

im not rubbing on a 5inch lift with 37s but i dont think i could run a 14 wide and still not rub..when i hit pot holes and am turning they come close to rubbing the bottom edge of my bush wackers...i also believe my rims are close to 5inch backspace i forget what they are exactly though.

I would say yes. Some guys here run 37" on a 3 inch lift with minor fender trimming.

Sounds like I'm good to go. I would rather run a 37x13.50 such as a Toyo M/T, Pro-Comp XAT, or a Mickey Thompson ATZ/MTZ, but I'm afraid that I will have some rubbing. I have thought about buying them anyways, trimming the lower portion of my bumper (the black plastic trim piece) and extending my lower links just a little to help with fender clearance on the back of the front fender. I have adjustable control arms that are good for 3-7" of lift so that is an option. I would love to mount some Toyo M/t's on this truck. I love the way they look. Do you guys think that would work? Keep the opinions/advice coming.

My best guess is you wont have any trouble getting them to fit expecially since you have adjustable arms. Might just take a little time to get them in the perfect spot. Ive seen 37 on a six inch lifted truck with 4.5 inch bs on 10 inch wide wheels and the only thing they had to trim was the little air dam.

I want to run 37s as well but i only have a 3 inch lift and a 5 inch bs on my wheels. I was thinking that with adjustable control arms I might be able to make it work. If you go with 37 would you let me know if you think i could adjust the control arms to make 37s work on my truck.

No problem. I'm hoping that I can make it work because I really don't want to go any higher.
