Where can I get a boost elbow at?
I was wondering what the boost elbow looks like to make the wastegate hold longer for more boost? I was wondering if I can go pick one up at the hardware store. Or can I put a turnbuckle on the wastegate? I have a '00 Auto w/ the stock HX turbo.
I know, I know, I will need a boost fooler too if I don't want to throw any codes, but I don't care if it throws codes, as long as it isn't hurting anything.

A boost elbow is a small brass elbow located on the lower front side of your turbo..it has a rubber hose attached to it...you use a turn-buckle if your boost elbow is hard-lined, meaning no rubber hose...i know on the 01' auto they r hardlined, not sure on the 00'...check out "wildcat diesel" in the "links" then "high-performance" section...they sell for like $30.00....i dont think u can buy at a hardware store though..One thing is, if it sets the overboost code I BELIEVE it also de-fuels with this code..meaning u will not run good at all becuase of lack of fuel..someone else will chime in to back me up on the overfuel thing though

The ECM compensates for boost over 20PSI by de-fueling the truck.
Even though running 25PSI, you might make less HP than at 19PSI. Clear as mud?
The boost fooler keeps the ECM thinking it's in the perfect Boost range for Full Fueling, which it will do.
I think I have a boost elbow sitting here, left over from my COMP box (I just pinched off the WG line). I can get it off my hands for cheap.
