Can dealers deny warranty?
Greetings, I am new to the forum but have enjoyed the advice and insight I have been reading. I read a thread last week and now can't seem to find it. Someone had asked about a dealer denying warranty work because some modifications had been made to the truck. Another member cited a law that idicated the dealer had to prove the modification caused the failure. I have an 04 and have the exterior looking like I want now am exploring some performance modification, I wanted to keep in the back of my mind what the responsibilities of the dealer might be after some minor mods.

exterior mods shouldnt void anything. If in doubt go to a dealer and get the ok "in writing" Every dealer is different and each service manager can be different on any given day about any given mod, depending on what side of the bed they woke up on. From your user name are you in alaska? I'd avoid a lithia service center at all costs unless you cant. They are a huge chain dealer with over 600 stores. They dont care about service and you are just a number there. At least thats my opinion and experience
