Camping near Minneapolis MN
I am planing a 3-4 day trip to Minneapolis with the family. I would like to take my RV and camp somewhere close to good fishing and close to the Mall of America. I want to fish while the women shop. There is no way I could spend the whole day at a shopping mall. I will be taking my 87 year old father in law along and hope to get some good fishing in. Do any of you have any recomendations for me to check out. Thanks.

Hi, the Mall area is big city,
If your talking camping, I would get more north, the Annandake area has camping one hour from Mpls on a nice size lake.
To be closer, I would go west of the city 1/2 hour.
Good Luck Camping

Fish right in town, or head out to one of the many lakes...

What dates are you planning to be in the Murderapolis area?
What type of fish you planning to target?
How big is your boat?
As far as camping have no clue the post above looks like a lot of good info. If you want some information on lakes PM me but the closest lake I'd recommend to MOA would be a good half hour away. At least in the Winter I kill some fish to eat and would never want to eat fish in or around cities especialy St. Paul or Minneapolis.
Did rather well this past Winter on panfish and eyes.
