I finally got the CTD home and start cleaning her up.

BUT, while I'm cleaning up the engine bay I finally get a chance to see what came with the truck, original owner said he installed a power module...Turns out its a Predator stage IV.

So I look this up on the web and it says for "Off road use only"...

Whats the scoop on this? Is this a good thing or a bad thing? I would like a bit more HP & Torque, But honestly I'm not pulling, shes being used to commute loaded with passengers not trailers. I need better MPG...So far, not hand calc'ed just by the overhead- I'm averaging 19.4- 19.5 MPG in mixed driving...
I've got a friend thats hitting 22MPG...That my goal...Can I get there?

It seems this performance module is geared more for max gains in performance , not MPG...

Any ideas?

Welcome and hope you enjoy the ride. I would be helpful if you filled out your signature with year and auto or manual and other options you know of. Performance options can vary between years.
