The F1 valvesprings control the valvetrain much better, not producing more power per se, but "allowing" more power to be generated - especially at higher RPMs.

The Helix cams do a great job of promoting lower EGTs and higher power #s by causing the engine to breathe much better.

So this being the case, is it worth the obvious (lots of $$$) to get this done or is it one of those personal opinion type of things?

Hey 04smoker,

Does you have 6-inch miter cuts and a aluminum truck box? If so, I tried to catch up to you a few times on poplar level rd. Just don't have enough power yet.

If you ever want to meet up sometime, I would love to see your truck.

Seriously it is a great upgrade for those wanting to take the next step in performance.
Cam and spring upgrades are getting more popular but it is an upgrade that is often over looked for some reason or another.

If you want to see one in action take a trip up the road about 50 miles this spring to the Tampico, Indiana truck pull in June.

I think with your current upgrades it would be a logical step in performance upgrade. Faster spool, lower egts whats not to like?

I have Flux 3.5's and I can tell ya to lower smoke levels and cut your egts down, a Helix 2 is the ticket. And it will spool your twins even better. Whats not to like, also the springs will stop valve float at high rpm/boost levels. In the direction you are headed I think these upgrades are a must.

Well with the helix 2 cam, will I need the spring kit? And if I do decide to do this how do I expect the fuel milage to work? And will this effect the power output!! Hopefully in a positive manner!!!!!!!!!!!!

You should install springs, you dont want any valve float. As far as milage with Flux 1's and a Helix 2 I have no doubt you will see a considerable positive milage increase. But if you go with big sticks, your right foot will more than likely hurt your mileage.
What boost are you running with your twins?
Also a cam will help power across the RPM range and give you more usable power, all the time.
At some point when Bommbing a truck mileage has to take a back seat to performance.
