Calm me down?

I put a B&M trans drain plug in the truck over the weekend. Now I'm freaked out that it's interfering with the filter. How much space is there between the pan and the filter, stock?

I did pull the pan down to change fluid and filter, but I was gettin rushed by the wife. I eyeballed it, but when I put the pan up I didn't do a final fit verification. I put it in the back, on the bottom of the pan, about 2/3 of the way toward the drivers side. The nut is only 3/16" thick or so, so I'll feel better if I knew that the filter cleared the pan by more than that. It's acting fine, I think I'm a half quart or so low though. It seems to take forever to get a consistent reading out of this transmission. Neutral warm, yes.

Maybe I just need to get the PML cover and be donw with it.

Don't worry about it. There is a least 3/4" clearance between the bottom of the pan and the filter.

Well if it's really 3/4 of an inch then I'll relax. I did freak out and buy a pml pan with a new mopar filter. Now, do I wait and put it in next time or change it out and get even more new fluid in it.
