cab swap question
I have a rusty 94 cummins 4wd that I drive and I have a 96 gasser 2wd that I got for the cab and bed. My question is will the wiring have to be switched from one to the other or will I be able to just switch out the computer and some minor wires?
TIA

I did the opposite swap.
Swapped a Cummins into a 2001 that was previously a V10 gasser.
The in the cab wiring needed no modification at all.
The engine wiring harness and PCM computer(on firewall) must be changed.
I would think the cab would be bolt on swap.
Dodge does make some small wiring changes year to year, but the general wiring format isn't drastically changed.
For example, the steering column wiring for my old Gen #1 1992 is essentially the same as for my 2001.
I wish I had the wiring diagrams to confirm, have 99 and 01 service manual wiring diagrams but nothing earlier, sorry..
If worse came to worse, you could swap the whole dash assembly from your 94 to the 96 (I kinda think you won't have to)
