cab clearance lights

I've been looking into cab lights and i've got two different numbers. Can somebody tell me the difference between the two?...pn 82205120 pn 82207252?
it seems the latter is the newer of the two designs, but does anybody have pictures of them so i can decide which one to get.

Re:cab clearance lights

The light kit 82205120 is the lense group for the older lights on the 94 to 2000? model years. I purchased that kit for my 96. The kit was $86.15 CAD.

I am assuming the other number is for the new slimline lite for the 2000's where the lense is lower and wider.

Re:cab clearance lights

does anybody have pictures of them installed...i've also seen variations in the mounting styles, evenly spaced ones and ones with the 3 in the middle clumped closer together.

Re:cab clearance lights

I went to NAPA and bought mine. They were only $5 and change each. I think the stock ones look kinda cheesey. I installed mine so that the outside ones are 8" from the door lines, the center one is centered, and the other two are 6" away from the center one. I don't remember how far they are from the windshield though. I think 6" but I'm not sure. I think they look good where I mounted them.

Re:cab clearance lights

Go for the newer streamlined style lights that will match your year of truck. They do not look cheesy and if you get them from the dealer they may cost more but everything you need is included.

Re:cab clearance lights

The spacing of the lites is dictated by the cab design of the truck. There are recesses in the cab shell for the cab lites and the bulbs for their location on the cab. There is a template that comes with the kit that you tape to the cab to drill the holes in the stock locations. ONce you have dropped the headliner you will see the scallops in the metal cut out for the mounting of the lites. The newer sleak ones may require a larger hole for the bulb to recess into.

I installed them in the stock location with the stock lites. I like the look of the old dodge lites anyway.
