Ca emissions vs 50 state

I recently purchased a 2005 2500 6 speed in Nevada. This truck does not have CA approved emissions. Exactly what is the difference (HP, torque, etc.) from the approved vs. the non approved emissions?

If you have an 05, it meets Ca Emission. 04.5 and above all meet Ca emissions.

Yes Kal does have an issue with the motors. The sticker on the valve cover states if Kal approved or if 50 state Fed approved. Kal DMV does not allow a Fed only approved into the state, approval only with the Kal approved sticker. That's why this truck is registered in Nevada and arguemental w/ Kal DMV.

Just like it was said , 04.5 and above are 48 state approve engine. there is no CA. only engine anymore... .

OK , let me put it this way, every state has a CA approve engine in thier truck.

in 2003 the high output cummins was not available in CA. All they could get (according to brochure) was the standard output.
