A/C Problems

I recently replaced my compressor, condenser, drier, and liquid line(with orface tube) I put the proper 2 1/2 cants in the system with the proper oil amounts.

The A/C blew ICE cold for a month or so, but now the vents only blow about 75-80 degrees (use to be 45)

The liquid line is very cold but the drier is very hot.
The compressor is coming on.

What would cause my liquid line (coming from the condenser to the firewall) to be cold but my drier to be hot? The drier is suppose to be cold with lots of condensation.

Follow your warm line to where it turns cold, there is where you should find a restriction in the line, -------AC temps works on pressure drops, that's how it cools at the orifice tube, pressure drop = cold freon bleeding into your accumalator-------- this would be my guess with out looking at the system.

when I hook the gauges up both sides read about 100

With the a/c going the cool side bounces between 20 and 60 while the hot side stays from 130-170

outside temp was 94 degrees

What do you mean by bouncing, is it "cycling" that far, or is it just fluctuating on it's own, if it's "cycling" that far, I would suspect the low pressure cycling switch, if it's doing it on it's own, the high side pressures seem low to me.

I too think that you are losing charge. They now sell refrigerant with a UV dye added to help finding leaks.
