A/C problem

Only hot air blowing out the A/C vent....Got home & found A/C line frozen.. Added refrigerant & all is now ok.. I looked for a low p s that keeps the A/C compressor off when low. But, couldn't find 1.. My old 1500 dodge. It had a low p s & a high p s. When low on refrigerant, the lines wouldn't freeze up because the compressor wouldn't come on.. Do these trucks not have a low p s or has mine been removed ??
