A/C Condenser

Well, I was having a little fun mudding in the ol beast and a big log came out of no where and smashed in my front bumper . Well in the process the bumper bent in and punctured my condenser. Is it possible to solder this or am i stuck purchasing a new or used one. Do I need to pull off the bumper to replace it. How much do they run, maybe I'll go to the junkyard and try to find one. Thanks for the help guys.

Bryan: Sorry you discovered the hard way just how wimpy the front bumpers are ... Look on the bright side... The condenser sacrificed itself to help save your engine's intercooler.
The condenser is made of aluminum, and unless you are REALLY experienced at welding (or aluminum soldering) dirty, greasy, painted aluminum I would recommend you just get another condenser. You'll have to add some PAG oil to replace what was lost. I believe I remember that the Factory Svc Manual gives the average amount to replace that is lost in a condenser replacement... I can't remember, (I've slept since then) but I'll look it up when I get home.
If you can, until you get a replacement condenser, try to keep the system sealed up to keep the PAG oil from absorbing atmospheric moisture.. It's bad about that.
