Bypassing a Electronic Wastgate

Is there a way to get around the Electronic wastegate on an 05? I trying to trouble shoot a problem with low boost (25psi max)

Yep, you need some type of boost fooler that hooks to the map sensor. Then clamp off the wastegate hose on the turbo with vise-grips or something similar.

I've got the Edge J/A and the smoke switch. Whats the long term affects of clamping this off.

There is no need to clamp anything off on the 04.5 plus... .

The cheapest will be the quad boost fooler...

How are you reading boost? It may be your gauge, my first pricol would only read 25-27.. my new one read 32 before I did the Jr, now it reads 34-35.

I think the Edge J/A boost fools thou....

I clamped the rubber hose leading to the wastegate and I'm building boost with no problem. Thanks a million

That would tell me you have something wrong, as that doesn't need to be done. I would guess your masking a problem.

Cincy that is what was wrong with my truck also after all that there was a wastegate problem.
