Buzzing from oil filter bypass...

Anyone else getting a buzzing noise from the oil filter bypass valve area (right behind the alternator)? I was at the *********** today getting the recalls cleared up, and had the tech throw an eye on my buzzy little friend. He literally cringed when I fired it up and ran 'er through the RPM's until it started buzzing away. He was using he mechanic's stethescope, and sure enough the noise was eminating from the bypass valve. His fear is that the valve is flapping like mad, and basically causing my oiling system to bypass the filter all of the time :-[ :-X So he's saying I've got 15k of unfiltered miles on my baby :'( No idea what D/C is going to say, as it was nearly 5:30pm when we found this out, but I'm wondering if anyone else is having this issue or not? There don't seem to be any TSB's or anything (yet...).
