A friend of mine is looking at buying a 2004 quad cab, auto, HO, 150k truck. The dealer that has it says they originally sold the truck and have always done the service on it and the owner really took care of the truck. They wouldn't lie would they? What kind of things should he be looking out for?

If they did all the service work on it they should have all the records, right?

Ask to see them.

That be the way to go. Make sure you see ALL the records including warranty work. See if has a history of problems. They might try to hide that.

Dealership faxed all service records this morning and it had work done on A/C several times and a few times things were done to front end. Power steering pump replacement was the most expensive service done on the truck.No engine or tranny work done except for fluid changes. The dealer also said it was towing 6k about 50% of the time.
