Buying a 2004 3500
hey i'm about to sell my 2003 dodge 2500 cummins. So i'm gonna need to get another one.
i want a 3500 dually and i just found this one on ebay. Can anyone give me some tips on what to check out first. I mean i basically know what to check for but i'm sure some of you have some things i have not thought about.
its got 257k miles on it...probally all tow miles since it has a 5th wheel. but it also has everysingle thing i could possible want in a truck. its the color i want and no crome bumpers, leather interior, everything.

Check the front axle U-joints and ball joints to see if they have been replaced and are in good order. Doubt the originals would have lasted that long but they may still be on there. Bring a 3 ton jack with you and lift the front end. Also request a carFax report from the dealer. That truck may have been under water two weeks ago in south east TX.

Thats alot of money for a truck with 250K+ on her IMO, especially with how the truck market has taken a dump. Also like alMout mentioned...it may have been under water two weeks ago.
There are deals to be found...just keep looking! My buddy in Iowa just picked up a brand new 3500 silverado and saved like 20K off the sticker.

it is in arlington and even if it was in houston it wouldn't have been under water...the flooding was not that bad...i was down the cuttin trees right after the storm hit.
But 250k miles isn't too bad if its been kept up right. can't they go 500k rebuild the motor and go another 500k
oh yeah and what do u guys think about push button 4wheel drive?
