What to buy :D
Ok here is what I got. I just bought a '97 dodge 4x4 5spd. I LOVE it is has soooo much more power than my ford. I love this truck. Here is what it already has. The guy I bought it from put in a SB Con OFE clutch in it about 10,000 miles ago. It alreay has boost and pyro gauges and he has a #10 plate in it also the KDP is taken care of too I can also pull right now about 32 or 33lbs of boost empty. I would like to know what I should buy next. My budget for now is $1000 to spend and I plan on using every penny. I would just like to know what to get and get the most bang for my buck. I'm new to the cummins world but I am trying to learn as much as I can. I hope you all can help me out.
thank,
Adam

Hey Adam, I would get some injectors like some DDP stage IIs and a 3k govenor spring kit from one of the vendors. You can go with a bigger injector but you will be needing a turbo upgrade soon..

For the GSK, try the washer mod. I can't believe I forgot that I LOVE my GSK. I can't believe my good buddy Jack would let me forget that

Yeah I read your post about the washers for the GSK, sounds like a good idea. I do know first off I need an 4" or 5" exhaust so my EGT wont be through the roof. Also I will be using the truck to pull around 10 to 12K so I dont want to large of injectors that are gonna raise the EGT up to much until I get a turbo that can support the air they need, also what about delivery valves? Also could doing that and putting on like lets say a 14cm exhaust housing help utill I have the money for a larger turbo?
Thanks guys,
Adam

Buy some 4" ex = $300-$500
AFE intake = $250
Bump to 15.5*- 16* = $150
PAY the $125 for 3k gov. springs
$800-$1000
If you have $ left over buy a Mag-Hytec diff cover, then save $2000-$8000 for injectors and turbo/turbos

Do the timing bump, it is well worth the money, really changes the truck.
And DVs work well with stock injectos, but create a bit of heat. That is the route I intend on going.
Why not the washer GSK?

Well for right now I plan I getting the Exhaust and BFAH and doing the GSK and having timing done. That should leave we around 300 to 400 dollars left. I really dont want the DV if they are gonna creat alot of extra heat, do you know if stage 2 injectors would raise as much as DV with stock injectors?
