burned ignition wires

ok i need a little help here my blower motor quit so i went to the switch and replaced it and it worked but the connector on the harness side had the two blower wires burned almost 2 inches of the jacket and inside the connector itself was buned pretty good on those two connections. so i took the connector apart and cleaned it as best i could, and even checked resistance further down the line. but now when the blower is on those two top wires get pretty hot even to the touch after a few seconds, so figure it is just a matter of time till i am buying another switch. so i am wondering if everyone elses harness gets warm there when the fan is on and i just didn't know it till now or is the fried connector messing things up. so do i need to cut the wire that is burned off and sodder on a new one with my own clips, or is there a place to get a new pin connector for that switch?

There were several theads about blower motor quit working, and the cause being charred looking wires by the ignition switch and/or bad ignition switch...

I'm not sure why.
