Besides, he hasn't worked for Bully Dog for awhile.
His new employer, Idaho Dept of Corrections, doesn't do diesel tunes to my knowledge.

Bud would be better able to answer that.
I have used a Triple Dog/Outlook and a PMT.
Did not have the guts or cash to download the Crazy Larry / Scary Larry ect.
I havn't seen to many comments about the GT or people downloading to them so I would guess it hasn't been done often if at all.
Unless you have (or need an excuse for) a Transmission Upgrade (Flexplate, TC, 1st gear, & Input) I would recommend you let sleeping dogs lie.
My BD's are alot of fun, but when you get into the low end tourque settings it gets real easy to rip parts up. The Crazy and Scary programs are even more aggressive than extreme with low end tourque. If you like to launch, a stock 48RE won't last the month. Ripped mine up with the extreme setting, was shocked how fast you can do that. Wouldn't even consider the more aggressive tunes until beefing up the trans. big time.
BD gives the caution for a reason...
You also have to have the ability to monitor fuel and rail pressure with those programs or you are looking at possible injectors and nozzels cracking to say nothing of the heat generated.
I still like my PMT for the fun it brings, but if you play aggressive, you need to pay a bit up front or alot after.

Didn't know he is doing a side trip!
He had been a really big help to me when I got my first unit.
Appreciate the heads up.

what are the three tunes available? tow, _______, and extreme? would it be safe to run tow? Looking at getting a Goerend TC and VB until I can get the cash for a built tranny...maybe just buy the upgrades here and there, and put together at once...but definitely thinking of the TC, VB and a Deep Pan in the next week or so...could I get by with that for a few months?

If so, that's news. BD offered to give me a GT to replace my BDTD, but I turned it down, because you could not load CL on it. You could on the PMT, but not the GT. Maybe they fixed it? In retrospect, I probably should have taken the GT. Sort of wish I had. My Outlook Monitor is now on the fritz and I'm going to have to get it fixed.

Extreme (130)
Performance (90)
Tow/ Economy (60)
I have a stock trans in my 2005. I have been running on Tow/Econ since i tripped 40k... I now have 160k I run Crazy Larry (180hp) about 15% of the time... I feel the biggest attribute that has kept my tranny alive is getting out of the throttle during a shift... just easing out of it, when it hits, then roll back into it... that my opinion. Some tranny last, some dont. I need a trans bad, just working on getting finances right. But she still gets my point A to B...
