bulbs
I have a problem that the dealers in the Calgary area can not help me with.
I have a 96 extended cab 2500, 4X4. 360,000 kms
I have 2, bulb and socket (can not be separated), bulbs burnt out in the illumination of the heater, a/c and fan controls.
They are the same as the "wait to start", "water in fuel" and
"transmission temp" bulbs.
I switched the water in fuel and transmission temp bulbs, with the illumination bulbs that are burnt, not a difficult switch.
Can anyone let me know a dodge part number or where I can find them on line?
All the local auto parts dealers, can not help, either.
I think Dodge wants me to buy the whole heater, a/c control box for 2 bulbs.
Not happening!
Thanks in advance.
One other thing, just installed a DSS.
Highly recommended! Death Wobble Gone!

Welcome to the site! If you have your owners manual there might be a bulb # there that someone can cross reference for you. If the two you switched work, then look for replacements for those bulbs instead. I looked up your truck on NAPA's site and see quite a few listings. You may have to call or pay a visit to one of their stores if one is close to you to see if they can look them up for you.

Did you try asking them for the bulbs for the wait to start lights? Surely they aren't going to sell you a whole new instrument cluster for two bulbs. Then again, I wouldn't put it past them.

Bulbs
Thanks for the help, guys.
Found the part number,
"5269245" dodge part number
Pricey, 11.35/ bulb cdn.
Also found out that there are 2 different parts directories (programs), that the dealers use.
Don't lose all faith, if one dealer can find the part number, try another, he maybe using the other program.
Thanks again
