Brushing Up On Yer CB Lingo

Amidst our members I bet 7/10 people sport the famous chatterboxes we call CB radio's. Now I know mostly all the terms when it comes to saying this or that but as far as talking in the actually 'code' and being fluent about it, I need some serious work. Hopefully I'm not the only one but is there a website out there that would help a poor fellow with this lingo? I know there are definition of terms on random sites but I'm looking for more... Any Ideas?

If you're going to learn the 10 codes you may as well learn the Q codes ( sideband rules!)

Now, I know I speak with a western drawl and sometimes people have to ask me to repeat myself .... but try to listen to some hardcore truckers jibber-jabbering on the squak-box for more than 15 minutes and your head will explode !! I tell you whut ... them boy's is speakin' an entirely different language than what I learn't in school !! And God help you if you are anywhere near San Diego ... Mexican Truckers are even worse !!!

PISTOL, I can relate to that.

Just for fun I started yakkin on the radio in nonsense...real fast jibberish and one guy kept coming back with comments like...I heard dat or Yeah FOUR on dat and the one that I never did figure out was something like "sumps its grit and towns."

That CB of mine has saved me many times from getting stuck in traffic or driving into a storm or an accident area.

Best lingo (or worst) I found is around Tennessee. We always have the CB on when travelling and always hear new words around there.

But most of them can’t be repeated on DTR
