broken horn
Somehow my horn has gone into wimpy mode. A little Honda horn sounds meaner than mine now! Where is the horn located and is there any connection that good have come loose?

i still giggle every time i pull that cable! never gets old. little kid gave me the horn salute the other day and i just had to.. his dad was so stoked, he started to do it too!
sorry to hijack the thread,
you probably have a horn that has failed and not a connection. you can actually change notes on the horns by buying them at the dealer. they are not too much money but it also depends on your dealer

I take it you have a train horn or that of some sort(my computer is down and I'm posting from my phone so I can't watch the video). Anyway I've been looking at Hornblasters.com for a while and want a loud horn but for now I wanna fix the stock one!

i used to work at a jeep dealer and we changed them all the time. I can't remember actual price but i want to say $50ish maybe per horn. there should be 1 on each side of the radiator and can have a buddy toot the horn and find which one is dead and replace that one. yes they are train horns and loud as H.E. double hockey sticks

bought the horns from freightliner, the air tanks from a big rig salvage yard and the valve from freightliner along with the plastic air line used on big rigs. have about $215 invested so far and still need a good compressor. just been filling it with my 60 gallon compressor in my garage til i save the funds to get a compressor

IIRC, 1 of the horns is behind the driver-side headlight. Chris honked his horn about 1/2 mile away from my house after he installed my Ravelco, and I swear to god it sounded like a BNSF locomotive was barreling down on me So if you have the means that would definitely be the way to go.

The stock horns usually go t/up due to water being forced in them, they did not place them very wisely imho.on the 3rd gens they are bolted to the frame rail on the drivers side front. The easiest way to get to them is to drop the plastic wheel liner down. For some reason they saw fit to make the mounting bolt in a bad place to access.
