I broke 500 miles on a tank!!! woooo hooooooooo

Im used to barely 400.

Mods: Lighter foot.

I'll be fillin her up tomorrow and calc'ing the mpg.

I break 500 on almost every tank and Im running 35" Toyo muds. But I also have a man trans.

Originally I lost about 1.5mpg after puting the muds on but got it back in about two tanks.

I credit either the tires smoothed out some or changing to Mobil one Turbo Diesal Truck 5W40 or engine break in, all seemed to happen at the same time

Congrats. Amazing what a light foot can do. I broke 700 in a tank one time in my 03 5 speed with a light foot and driving speed limits, coasting in neutral to stops...etc...

i usually break 600, and thats not watchin my foot. I have seen as high as 682 miles to a tank, but i was only runnin 65 with no head wind

I filled up today just to click off, not topping off, it read DTE 620.

I've never broke 400, but just recently got close. Short trips in the city do wonders for fuel economy.

I got to 540, and pumped 30.2 gallons into her.

Avg fuel mileage of 17.88 mpg.

I've seen over 800 miles three times and average in the 700's. There's something to be said for patience and a light foot.
